a trio of wearable items, textile sampling, and a digital process book developed and created in Lacoste, France

this concept emerged after I read Embroidered Stories: Interpreting Women's Needlework from the Italian Diaspora. I was inspired by the traditional Italian textiles that young women would fabricate throughout their adolescence to contribute to their corredo, or dowry. I wanted to explore the theme of marriage, but also examine my inner dialogue surrounding romantic love and finding individuality within a partnership.
